MENAI Bridge Tigers continued their excellent start to the Gwynedd League campaign with a 5-1 home rout over Nefyn United.
The hosts opened the scoring on 35 minutes courtesy on a penalty from Darren Gowans, and they doubled their advantage on the stroke of half time when Dafydd Healy finished well following a prolonged spell of possession.
After the break saw Dean Redmond secure a third for the Tigers on the hour mark, and prolific forward Shaun Lock sealed the points soon after with a well-struck effort after 64 minutes.
Alun Williams netted a consolation for United on 84 minutes, but this was met with a swift response in the form of a Dave Baston goal on 87 to round off an impressive outing from the title contenders.
A two-goal salvo from Dion Williams either side of the break was enough to give recently reformed Glantraeth a 2-0 triumph at Llanystumdwy, with Craig Evans hitting a brace for Gwalchmai in their narrow 2-1 victory at Talysarn Celts.
The only other league fixture of the weekend saw Llangoed emerge victorious against a spirited Waunfawr, with an Aled Evans own goal on 55 minutes separating the two sides in a 1-0 win.
