BANGOR City Boss Craig Harrison has pulled off another transfer coup with the signing of Sameron Dool.

The gifted midfielder arrives at the VSM Stadium from Sky Bet Championship side West Bromwich Albion, where he spent a decade in their academy set-up.

Harrison has been a long-term admirer of the playmaker and tried to sign Dool on two occasions at The New Saints of Oswestry Town and Hartlepool United.

He said: "I’m really pleased that Sam has joined Bangor City FC as I've known him for 18 months or so.

“He is a very talented midfielder with a great passing range and great individual ability. Sam can also score goals from midfield.

"Sam is still only young but has a fantastic grounding at West Brom, playing lots for the U18s and U23s as well as training with the first team.

“There is no doubt about Sam should be playing at a higher level and Bangor City have seen some very good players over the years kick on and get an opportunity back in England and I fully expect that from Sam once he has fully settled into the group and gets himself 100 per cent match fit as he hasn’t really played competitive football for almost a year.

“He will be a fantastic signing for Bangor City FC and certainly one to watch out for in the future. I'm really pleased to have him on board. Third time lucky from my point of view."

Dool further strengthens a Citizens’ squad that is expected to mount a Huws Gray Alliance title challenge this term after a number of high-profile arrivals including Les Davies, Marc Williams and Phil Baker.
