WHAT a superb start to a vital contest St Asaph have made.
The Saints need to beat leaders Menai Bridge at Elwy Grove Park if they're to maintain their hopes of claiming this season's North Wales Cricket League Premier Division title.
The early stages have belonged to the home outfit, with Menai Bridge currently 32-2 after 14 overs.
The first wicket fell with only nine runs on the board, with Duncan Midgley catching opener Luke Jones off the bowling of David North.
Then, with 29 runs added, Jason Foulkes trapped Jack Gower leg before for 14.
