CAERNARFON remain in the North Wales Cricket 2nd XI League West Division title picture thanks to a nine-wicket victory over Bethesda Seconds.

The hosts restricted their opposition to 107 all out from 37 overs, with a half century knock of 54 from Huw Pritchard the undoubted highlight of an otherwise dismal display in the middle.

James Logan was the pick of the Cofi bowlers, helping himself to four wickets for the loss of ten runs from a spellbinding four over spell, with Ian Morgan and Llyr Davies scooping a pair of wickets apiece at the combined expense of 53.

Despite losing opener Grant Peisley early on when he was caught off a Ryan Williams delivery after a contribution of five, a strong partnership from Richie Parry and Morgan ensured the home side did not lose another wicket during a polished display at the crease.

Morgan produced a series of exceptional strokes on his way to an unbeaten 68, with Parry holding up the other end resolutely to finish on 27 not out.
