A TEENAGE sensation recorded his maiden senior century to continue his superb recent run of form this season.

Cricket ace Josh Massey produced a fantastic knock to guide Menai Bridge Seconds to an emphatic ten-wicket triumph over North Wales 2nd XI League Premier Division rivals Buckley.

After being set a target of 191 by the visitors, Massey produced an innings that defied his tender age to finish the day unbeaten on 107, which included no fewer than 19 boundaries.

The Welsh youth international opened the batting for title-chasing Bridge and managed to secure his first every century at senior level, which further enhances his growing reputation as one of the best young prospects anywhere in the region.

Joshua relocated from South Africa to Anglesey five years ago, and within one week of joining Bridge he was put forward for the Eryri set-up, which he has been a part of for the last four years.

He is also a member of the Glamorgan Pro Elite training programme and has been working with Bridge captain Dion Holden at the Marylebone Cricket Club North Wales Hub, and recently earned a sports scholarship to Rydal Penrhos School in Colwyn Bay after a successful application process.
