ANGLESEY Circuit hosts the final round of the Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship this coming Sunday.
A bumper entry of both senior and junior entries has been received by the organising club – Stockport 061
Motor Club.
The event is a round of both regional and national championships including the Association of Northern Car Clubs
Stage Rally Championship, Association of North Western Car Clubs Stage Rally Championship and JD Tyres Welsh
National Tarmacadam Championship.
Also on show will be the Welsh Clubmans Mixed Surface Championship, SD(34) Motorsport Group and Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship and the first round of the Junior 1000 championship.
Leading competitors for the Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship are Chris West & Keith Hounslow in a
formidable Peugeot 306 Maxi Kit Car and Ian Woodhouse & Jason Leaf in a Ford Escort Mk II.
Other notable entrants in the Senior event are John Stone & Jack Morton in the ever popular Legend Fires supported
Ford Fiesta.
Also appearing will be Ciro Carannate & Simon Coates (Porsche Cayman), Roger Thomas & James Williams (Skoda Fabia S2000), Bob Fowden & Paul Fowden (Subaru Impreza S11).
Wil Owen is coming to join in the fray in his super Ford Escort MkII and will be one who is not to be messed with on his home circuit.
The Senior event is joined by 13 Juniors in a variety of 1000cc cars including Nissan Micras, Citroën C1s, and Peugeot
107s.
Clerk of the Course, Phil Hesketh, has been working hard with the stage plans and competitors are sure of a workout
throughout the day with ten stages totalling 57.4 miles
Spectators to the event will once again be guaranteed another day full of motorsport fun as the Anglesey Circuit team continue to host entertaining races on a weekly basis.
