CAR owners in the Caernarfon area are being warned to 'be vigilant' after two cars were damaged and broken into.
At about 6.30pm, on Saturday, January 27 an unattended red Vauxhall Corsa was set alight and destroyed in a small car park at the rear of Cloddfa Glai pensioners bungalows, Talysarn. A Minicam Solo Pro was also as tolen from a ‘Coulton Drainage Services’ works vehicle parked in Llys yr Eifl, Caernarfon, sometime overnight between Sunday, January 28 and Monday, January 29. Two mobile phones were also taken a black Microsoft Office mobile and silver coloured LG mobile.
"By taking a few simple steps vehicle owners can deter opportunists and avoid becoming a victim of crime." said PC Andy Goulding.
"Check your vehicle when you leave it and remove items of value and lock the vehicle ensuring any alarm or immobiliser is activated. Remain vigilant at all times and report suspicious activity."
