APPROXIMATELY 60 bales of hay have been taken from a farm on Anglesey while the Royal Welsh Show was taking place.

North Wales Police said this is believed to have happened between Friday, July 17 and Sunday, July 26 from fields in the Llanddona area.

PCSO Rhys Evans, of the force’s rural crime team, is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with information, to come forward.

He said: “The bales are identical to the ones seen in the video (attached), and were stolen during the Royal Welsh Show, when many local farmers were away.

“Anyone with information as to the location of these bales, or anything that may assist with our investigation, can contact me by calling 101, or via the website, quoting reference number 26000610070.”
