A BUDDING golfer from Anglesey got to meet legendary golfer Nick Faldo after claiming victory in his showcase tournament.
Ffion Griffiths, a member of Holyhead Golf Club, took part in the Faldo Showcase at Southport Golf Academy and was crowned champion.
And to top of the impressive victory, Ffion got the chance to meet the man himself, three-time Open champion Nick Faldo.
Faldo, who also won three Masters titles in an illustrious career, posed for a picture with Anglesey's young winner in a memory that will surely last a lifetime.
The Faldo Showcase is part of the Faldo Series, which are events for young people over the age of 7 to 25 years old to compete in high level amateur events with the goal of accessing professional tour events.
Holyhead Golf Club celebrated Ffion's triumph, saying: "Congratulations to junior member Ffion Griffiths!
"Ffion competed in the Faldo Showcase at Southport Academy golf course and was crowned the champion!
"Here she is pictured with the three-time Open champion Nick Faldo himself!"
Faldo is providing commentary for Sky at the ongoing Open Championship at nearby Royal Birkdale.
