Prosecutor Richard Edwards said police were called to the Lon y Bryn area of Caernarfon at 9pm on September 16, 2024, after Parry had been “causing a disturbance”.
Parry was seen with two males, who ran away – he also tried to flee, but was detained.
When Parry was searched in custody, police found a tobacco pouch in his jacket pocket containing 15 wraps of heroin.
These weighed 6.33 grams in total, and was worth up to £670.
Representing Parry, who had 55 previous convictions for 99 offences, Simon Rogers asked the court to acknowledge his guilty plea, and his “acceptance of responsibility”.
Mr Rogers said Parry started using heroin at age 25 while in prison, and said his life has been “blighted by misuse of drugs”.
“He was dealing a drug to which he is addicted,” he added.
Parry has also experienced “significant bereavements” and “housing issues,” while this was said to be his first conviction for drug supply.
Mr Rogers added: “The reason police were called was because he was banging on windows. It was believed by those who contacted police that he was looking for a place to stay the night.”
Sentencing, Judge Simon Mills told Parry: “Your life story is, sadly, all too familiar to this court.
“Your life has been destroyed by being dependent on or addicted to controlled drugs. That has led you to appear before the courts on repeated occasions.
“This is a sad story of a man who started supplying the substance to which he had become addicted.”
