A MAN has admitted giving the police false details upon his arrest in Caernarfon.

Simon Busuttil, 58, of Buckingham Road, Irlam, pleaded guilty to committing an act with intent to pervert the course of justice at Caernarfon Crown Court on Thursday (April 16).

The court heard that he provided an incorrect name, address and date of birth to a constable when apprehended in Caernarfon on April 9, 2025.

Busuttil will be sentenced on Monday, April 20, and was granted bail until then.

Judge Simon Mills, presiding over Thursday’s hearing, reserved the case to himself.

He told Busuttil: “You’ve admitted a really quite serious attempt to get away with a significant offence.

“I’m not making any promises about what the outcome of this case is going to be.”
