AN APPEAL for witnesses has been made following a police pursuit on Anglesey last week.

An officer on an unmarked police motorcycle entered a pursuit after the male rider and female pillion passenger of a green Kawasaki motorcycle failed to stop.

The pursuit happened between 3.44pm and 4pm along the A4080 entering Llanfaelog and then into Rhosneigr.

North Wales Police is appealing for anyone who was travelling along the A5 through Bryngwran towards the Treban crossroads, then between Engedi and Rhosneigr, and in particular, the A4080 at Llanfaelog, and saw the motorcycle, to contact the force.

PC Philip Owen, of North Wales Police's roads crime unit, said: “There were several drivers who witnessed the pursuit and I am keen for them to come forward.

“I am particularly interested to speak to the driver of a Green Dacia that was travelling through Bryngwran towards Treban at 3.37pm, the driver of a blue Ford Puma leaving Rhosneigr towards Llanfeulog at 3.45pm and the driver of a Porsche Cayman S.

“If you believe you are the owner of one of the above vehicles, please get in touch with police.

“Additionally, I am also appealing for anybody who has dashcam of the motorcycle prior to or during the pursuit to contact us.”

Anybody with information that could assist North Wales Police's investigation should contact the force via its website or by calling 101, quoting reference 26000222882.
