A MAN from Caernarfon who assaulted his father and his father’s neighbour has been spared jail.
Daniel Cook, 29, of Gallt Y Sil Estate, was sentenced to 10 months’ imprisonment, suspended for a year-and-a-half, at Caernarfon Crown Court today (March 18).
His co-defendant, Kevin Bohana, 43, of Pendalar Flats, Caernarfon, was handed an 18-month community order for his involvement in the attack on Daniel Cook’s father, Lee Cook.
Both defendants had previously admitted actual bodily harm, while Daniel Cook had also pleaded guilty to an additional charge of common assault.

Prosecutor Richard Edwards said Graham Williams and Lee Cook were assaulted in Penygroes on February 8, 2025.
Mr Williams had known both defendants for many years, and until this incident, described Bohana as a “friend”.
On the day in question, Mr Williams was woken by a doorbell alert on his mobile phone; when he checked the footage, he saw Daniel Cook at his door, calling him a “grass” and telling him repeatedly to “come downstairs”.
After Mr Williams opened his front door, Daniel Cook “forced his way in,” before punching Mr Williams, pulling him to the floor, and kicking him to his body and head.
Mr Williams, who could feel blood coming from his head, shouted at Daniel Cook to “get off” him.
Daniel Cook then followed Mr Williams upstairs, telling him: “Look at me – I’m a psycho.”
He also offered Mr Williams £60 to “keep his mouth shut” and not tell police about this assault, or an incident involving Daniel Cook’s father earlier.
This earlier incident, captured on a 15-minute piece of doorbell camera footage, involved Daniel Cook kicking Lee Cook to his upper body, before Bohana knocked him off balance and hit him with one of his crutches while he was on the floor.
Bohana told police he was drunk and didn’t have a clear recollection of the incident, but may have been “a little heavy-handed with Lee Cook, while Daniel Cook made no comment in his interview.
Representing Daniel Cook, who had eight previous convictions for 16 offences, Oliver King said he “accepts he lost his temper that day”.
Mr King said Cook, who has paranoid schizophrenia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, “tends to act first, think later”.
He added that Cook “doesn’t want to go back to prison,” and sees himself as the victim of a perceived “campaign of bullying” against him.
Defending Bohana, who had three previous convictions for four offences, Elen Owen said there was no evidence that he had caused any injury.
Ms Owen stressed that Bohana had no involvement in the assault on Mr Williams.
She added that he has “significant physical health problems,” including serious heart issues.
Sentencing, Judge Nicola Jones said of the doorbell footage: “I can’t expunge it from my memory.”
None of the footage was played during the sentencing hearing.
She added to Daniel Cook: “This is your time to rein it in and turn it around.”
Judge Jones reserved the case to herself in the event of either defendant breaching their orders and returning to court.
Daniel Cook will complete 25 days’ rehabilitation activity and a 26-session programme, while Bohana will undertake 20 days’ rehabilitation activity and a 12-month mental health treatment requirement.
