A MAN has been jailed after assaulting two police officers in Caernarfon earlier this week.
Dewi Glyn Parry, 45, of Ffordd Llandygai, Llandygai, appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court on September 17 after admitting to assaulting two emergency workers on September 16.
At around 9pm on Monday, police attended the Lon Y Bryn area of Caernarfon after receiving reports of a disturbance.
On their arrival, Mr Parry became aggressive towards the officers, pushing one officer to the ground and grabbing hold of and putting pressure on the wrist of another officer, causing swelling to her wrist.
Other officers arrived to assist, and Mr Parry was arrested and taken into custody.
He was jailed for 12 weeks.
District Inspector for Gwynedd North, Ian Roberts said: “Parry’s actions against police officers who were only trying to carry out their duties were unacceptable.
“Assaults against emergency workers will not be tolerated and will be dealt with robustly.”
