A MAN from Bangor is well on his way to climbing Yr Wyddfa 100 times for charity.

Dylan Hughes has so far walked up the mountain range 62 times in 2024, including once while dressed as Spider Man during his 50th trek.

He is taking on the challenge in aid of Breast Cancer Now, a research and support charity based in England and Wales.

“I started off the year with my own goal of reaching this amazing summit 100 times with a fellow friend, Nina,” said Dylan.

“I started to post many of my walks to friends and family on my Facebook until I reached my 18th walk and people were crying out for me to walk for charity.

“As of now, I am currently on walk 62 out of 100 since January, and the people I talk to are in amazement and can’t believe their ears when I tell them.”

He is also taking part in a “magic night” show at Caernarfon Football Club on June 14, which will be in support of Breast Cancer Now, too.

Dylan added: “I was dressed up as Spider Man on my 50th walk, which people all over are still talking about now!

“With the funds of my walking and the magic night show, we feel we can make a difference and raise as much as possible to help others.

“A lot of people have suffered with cancer, or their family members have, so I feel, with all the money we can raise, it could help many lives out there.

“We all deserve to live a happy and healthy life.”
