A 14-year-old has been arrested in connection with an incident of criminal damage, assault and theft in Holyhead.

They have been arrested on suspicion of four counts of criminal damage, three counts of theft and two assaults.

It comes following reports of youth-related anti-social behaviour in the area in recent weeks.

Sergeant Iwan Jones said: “I would like to reassure the community we are taking action following concerns in the area of youths involved in anti-social behaviour and crime.

"I am aware of a clip circulating on social media regarding a report of criminal damage, which has caused distress to residents.

"A 14-year-old has been arrested in connection with the incident today and Officers are continuing with their enquiries.

"Anti-social behaviour has no place in our community, and as a force, we take these reports extremely seriously.

"We thank the community for supporting these investigations.

"I would urge all parents to play their part by ensuring they know where their children are, and with whom they are spending time.”
