THE Wrexham-based charity that delivers the all ability cycling service, is hosting a special parade this summer.

Cycling 4 All will host a Pedal Power Parade during Bike Week 2024, from June 10-16, thanks to funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

The Pedal Power Parade is a trail of decorated bikes displayed around Alyn Waters Country Park, decorated by local community groups, charities, schools, and businesses.

The aim of the parade is to bring the local community together, walking or biking, to discover all the transformed bikes for their wellbeing and promoting environmental sustainability and sustainable transport. A perfect opportunity to get outdoors and get active, to celebrate and support creativity, and connect people with others in the community.

Cycling 4 All will be working with partner charities Refurbs and Groundwork North Wales to access bikes that have been unable to be refurbished for reuse to be used for the parade reducing waste sent to landfill.

Hanna Clarke, project lead for the Pedal Power Parade said: "We are looking forward to the local community getting creative and decorating a bike that would have otherwise ended up in landfill.

"The Pedal Power Parade will provide an exciting opportunity to promote the need for reuse and sustainability in our community, a chance for the community to celebrate and support creativity, getting outdoors and getting active."
