Prosecuting, Elen Owen told the court that, on June 10, 2022, Williams was at the Gottwood Festival when officers saw him exchanging items with festival-goers and putting things down his trousers.

He was arrested, and a bag containing a number of smaller bags was found upon him, while Williams was under the influence of ketamine at the time.

Police the following amounts of drugs upon his person:

  • 13 wraps of cocaine worth a total of £520.
  • 15 wraps of ketamine worth a total of £450.
  • 13 MDMA/ecstasy tablets worth a total of £130.

In addition, following a further search at his home address, 26.8g of bicarbonate of soda (used to convert cocaine into crack cocaine), a partially used bag of ketamine, and digital scales were found.

While in custody, he had £260 in cash and a mobile phone seized from him.

Analysis of the seized phone revealed messages indicative of Williams selling drugs throughout the Gwynedd area.

On May 29, 2023, while was released under investigation, officers were called to the Cube nightclub in Bangor at 2.10am after staff reported that Williams had been caught selling drugs.

He was arrested while intoxicated, and as well as £188 in cash, the following drugs were found upon him:

  • Two wraps of cocaine valued at £60.
  • Seven deals of ketamine valued at £415.
  • Four tabs of LSD valued at £40.
  • A small amount of herbal cannabis valued at £30.

During both of his police interviews, he gave no comment.

Defending Williams, John Wyn Williams said his client had been working in Manchester, but suffered an epileptic fit in 2021, which “led him back to drugs”.

Williams, Mr Wyn Williams said, has been involved in drugs since the age of 12.

Sentencing, Judge Timothy Petts also ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs and paraphernalia seized from Williams.

A deprivation order was also made in respect of the money seized, while Williams will also pay a statutory surcharge.

Speaking after sentencing, Detective Constable Jamie Atkinson said: “Those who become involved in crime risk facing the consequences.

“We will continue to pursue anyone who seeks to bring drugs into Gwynedd and Anglesey and who exploits vulnerable members of the community for their own selfish gain.

“I urge anyone with information about drug dealing in their local area to report their concerns to us via our website, by calling 101, or anonymously via CrimeStoppers.”
