RESIDENTS have been left “gutted” after The Works announced plans to close its store in Caernarfon next month.
The 11 Pool Street site is to close on March 17, with the company saying they had “loved” being part of the community.
They apologised for any inconvenience the move caused, with several residents expressing “shock” at the decision.
One resident said they were “gutted” about the closure, and said Caernarfon was “becoming a ghost town”.

Another said the closure was a “shame”, with a third slamming the town as a “joke for shops”.
The Works said they were looking to relocate Caernarfon staff to stores in Bangor and Llandudno.
A spokesperson for The Works said: “We can confirm that we will be closing our store in Caernarfon on March 17.
“We have loved being part of the local community and apologise for any inconvenience caused by this closure.
“We are working to redeploy all team members to local stores and customers can continue to shop with us at our nearby stores in Bangor and Llandudno or online at theworks.co.uk.”
