Dafydd Hardy recently sat down with the owners to discuss their time at Fron Deg Isaf.
Jane describes her home, which includes three cottages, a shepherd’s hut, and her own residence, as picturesque and tranquil. She went on to explain the smallest cottage sleeps four, while the larger sleeps six, created by merging two cottages together. The main house, where Jane lives with her husband Denis, boasts a superb view that she appreciates daily.

Jane, who retired to Anglesey but is originally from Groesffordd Marli, explains that when they came across the property still on the market, the stunning location prompted them to purchase it despite the extensive renovation work needed.
Jane went on to say how grateful she is for the peaceful, yet not remote surroundings, with red squirrels and wildlife adding to the charm. Her favourite aspects of living there include the tranquillity, community involvement, and the visual beauty of the landscape. Originally
from a small village between Abergele and St Asaph, she highlights the welcoming community on Anglesey. Jane teaches a local Welsh class, and it keen to continue this after the move.

Looking to the future, Jane hopes to eventually pass on the property to someone else to enjoy, as she looks to slow down. She values the positive interactions with guests, both new and returning, and anticipates a time when she may hand over the reins to someone with the same appreciation for the property and its surroundings.
