A 46-YEAR-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and the possession of a bladed article.
This follows an incident on Bangor High Street on December 20th.
North Wales Police received a report at 2.10pm.
District Inspector Ian Roberts said: “I understand that the increased police presence on the high street this afternoon may have caused concern among the local community.
“I’d like to reassure members of the public that due to the quick actions of officers with support from armed officer colleagues and the community, this incident was resolved quickly.
“Anyone with information or footage of the incident that may assist in our inquiries is asked to get in touch with the police.”
