As well as receiving a “really lovely trophy,” Manon said she felt honoured to be recognised for her efforts since opening the business almost two years ago.

She said: “It was lovely to be in a room full of really inspirational women.

“The whole point of the awards is to celebrate women in business, community and leadership, so it was really lovely to think I was worthy enough to be considered in that. It was really uplifting.

“I took my grandma down with me, and we had a weekend together in Cardiff. She's super proud.”

Manon started planning her business in July 2020, following one of her other friends tragically losing two members of their family in an accident.

She also set up a foodbank during one of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns.

“We're really pleased with how it started, and the progress we've made in the last couple of years,” Manon added.

“We've just had the ability to support way more families than we expected, and people continue to choose us.

“It's just a real privilege to run the business and be able to support people. We're really happy with the way things are going.”
