THE BODY of a man missing since 2012 was recently discovered in woodland in Conwy, an inquest opening was told today (October 9).
The body of Anthony Lewis, of Woodsome Drive, Whitby, Ellesmere Port, was found in a wooded area of Dolgarrog on September 25.
At County Hall in Ruthin, Kate Robertson, assistant coroner for North Wales East and Central, opened an inquest into Mr Robertson's death.
He was aged 63 at the time of his initial disappearence.
The hearing was told that on September 25, human remains were found in woodland. The body was identified as being that of Mr Lewis by dental records.
A patholigist's provisional cause of death following a post-mortem examination is asphyxia consistent with helium inhalation.
A full inquest has been adjourned until a later date.
