ANGLESEY rescuers were called out after alarm was raised about clothing being left on a beach.

Rhosneigr Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked alongside Holyhead Coastguard Rescue Team on September 18.

A statement from the team posted on social media on Thursday, September 21 said: "We were called to investigate reports of clothing being left on the beach at Cymyran. Team members conducted a thorough search of the entire beach area and were unable to locate any clothing. On checking the waterline, footprints were spotted leading into the water and also coming back out again. A patch of disturbed sand was also noted by a track leading away. This information was passed onto MRCC Holyhead and as the location of footprints/disturbed sand was the approximate location of reported clothing.

"It is believed that someone may have had a quick swim and got out, dried off and left."
