Anglesey is a fantastic place for photographers.

There is its majestic scenery of course, but there is also a chance of catching the RAF's finest in your images.

That's what happened to Camera Club member Karlheinz Balz when he visited Valley this week.

Not only did Karlheinz, of Prestatyn, capture shots of the training jets other planes at the RAF base, he was also lucky enough to snap the famed Red Arrows.

He said: "We have just visited Anglesey and were near RAF Valley when we spotted planes flying. We decided we drive over and take some photos. I used my Nikon D7100 with a 70-300 Tamron lens.

"Very little editing done to the photos apart from cropping some in and brighten them up."
