PHOTOS have been shared showing the filming of the second season of “House of the Dragon” taking place on Anglesey.

The series, a spin-off of “Game of Thrones”, is due to be filmed in several locations across both Anglesey and Gwynedd between June 12 and July 12.

The second season, filming for which began in April, is not expected to air until 2024.

According to proposals shared with residents, filming will take place in Anglesey, Trefor Quarry, Dinorwig Quarry and elsewhere in Snowdonia.

This comes after Warner Bros Discovery, owners of HBO, offered “exciting and rare” job opportunities in the region for a three-month project, including extras roles.

The HBO series is set hundreds of years before the events of Game of Thrones, and focuses on the reign of House Targaryen.

There were also reports that costume fittings had taken place on east Anglesey, and a casting call, believed to be for the HBO production, stated that filming would take place within 25 miles of Caernarfon at the end of June.
