ADVENTURE company Zip World opens its latest exhilarating adventure to the general public at its Penrhyn Quarry site today (May 27), following a successful launch event yesterday.

"Aero Explorer”, a six-figure investment from Zip World, gives adventurers a unique new experience, enabling them to soar across a 400m-long spiral suspension track.

The track, powered entirely by gravity, can reach speeds of up to 30mph.

Participants are suspended in the air by a harness as they descend 35m down to ground level, taking in views of formerly the world’s largest slate quarry.

It also features two spiral turns as riders descend to ground level, which takes three to five minutes.
