THE Food Warehouse has new store in Bangor, with 127 shoppers lining up before the shop had officially opened on Tuesday morning (March 28).

The new store, in Menai Retail Park has also created 20 new jobs.

To celebrate the opening, The Food Warehouse gave away £1,000 worth of vouchers to the first 100 customers, between £5 and £100 to spend in store.

They also gave the first 200 customers through the checkouts a free tub of Swizzles sweets, while seven customers won one of two Tower 4L air fryers, three JML household essentials hampers and two Daewoo wireless Bluetooth fabric speakers.

Another customer got their hands on a hot tub spa worth £250, for correctly guessing how many sweets were in a jar.

And three customers also got the chance to take part in a 90-second trolley dash, after they were entered into a raffle for joining the queue before 7.30am.

With the whole store to themselves, the winners of the pre-opening raffle pushed their trolleys around The Food Warehouse’s extensive range and grabbed what they could, while they could, all for free.

Residents who couldn’t make it down on opening day still have a chance to receive money off their shop with The Food Warehouse.

The brand has delivered leaflets to homes in the community and surrounding areas, each one featuring a voucher for shoppers to get £5 off a £35 shop.
