THE Welsh Game Fair will be based in Gwynedd again this year after a successful first event in 2022.

The two-day fair, organised by the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust and Stabled Events and to be held again at the Vaynol Estate, will take place on the weekend of September 9 and 10.

A statement from the organisers read: “After a successful year in 2022, The Welsh Game Fair will return to the stunning Vaynol Estate, proud to host an abundance of activities for all ages to enjoy.

“From gundogs, clay shooting and archery, to fishing, food and falconry - not to mention the amazing shopping!”

“Standard parking” at the game fair is free, as is admission for children younger than eight.

Ticket prices range from £10 to £80.

Last year’s game fair saw more than 10,000 visitors enjoy good food, topical debates, fishing, farming and much more.

Chef Bryn Williams, originally from Denbigh, created a bespoke menu for guests in a VIP restaurant.

Conwy-based farmer, Gareth Wyn Jones, spoke at the game fair, in a bid to extol the wider benefits of conservation and field sports to his fellow countrymen.

The game fair is now accepting applications from exhibitors for September’s event.
