ST DAVID'S Day celebrations took place across Anglesey and Gwynedd this week to mark the feast day of the patron saint of Wales.

Children from Ysgol Llangoed enjoyed a St David’s Day parade around Beaumaris:

Pupils from Ysgol y Traethc in Abermaw lead a procession through the Gwynedd town:

Several schools took part in the parade in Holyhead, including Ysgol Kingsland:

A North Wales Police spokesperson said of the parade: “What a fantastic day!

“Thanks to Alun Roberts from Mon Communities Forward and all our local schools for their participation in today’s event, it was lovely to see so many members of our Community together enjoying the day.”

Ysgol Gynradd Amlwch took part in a parade throught the town's streets and choir singing to celerate the big day:
