“RYBISH” star Bestan Ceiriog is to make her stage debut in a one-woman coming-of-age “dramedy” which follows the uneasy journey of a young woman facing adulthood in rural Wales.

A dramedy deals with its subject matter by introducing comic elements, and Frân Wen’s “Croendena” deals with the complexities of growing up in the shadow of insecurities and grief.

Croendena visits Galeri, Caernarfon from February 20-22.

Betsan said: “Naturally I’m nervous but I can’t wait,” said the actor from Caeathro, who played Bobi in the hit S4C comedy “Rybish”.

“People will be able to relate to the main character’s story = we all know a Nel! Growing up is not as easy as it sounds and Mared’s script deals with these complexities hilariously.

“In the backdrop of her own insecurities and dealing with grief, she is constantly being judged and treated like dirt.

“But this is not a sob story - This is a celebration of a resilient young woman finding her place in the world.”
