A COST of living event to help people who might struggling financially is being held in Holyhead.

Ynys Môn MP Virginia Crosbie has organised the event.

About 23 organisations including CAB, the Department for Work and Pensions, Môn CF, Lloyds Bank and EON will be at the town hall on Friday, February 10 from 10 to 12am.

Ms Crosbie's casework team will also be on hand to provide support.

“Putin’s war and the fallout from the pandemic has fuelled inflation these last few months and this affected many people on the island,” she said.

“So, I wanted to organise this event as a one-stop shop for people who need help to come and chat and get advice and support. There is a wide range of organisations and businesses attending who could make a difference.

“The government is supporting households and businesses with their energy bills this winter and a wide range of benefits are available too so I would urge anyone who is struggling to come along.”

Virginia is making a personal donation to Holyhead Town Council to cover costs associated with hosting the event.
