A COUPLE of Anglesey athletes extended their superb form against top-class international competitors at the weekend.
In a World Athletics Indoor Tour meeting in Boston, Osian Perrin (Menai Track and Field) clocked a season’s best of 7-55.74 in the 3,000 metres.
It was just a second shy of the PB he set in Manchester 12 months ago.

Meanwhile, former Menai member Cari Hughes (Cardiff) won the 1,500m in a similar World Indoor Challenge meeting in Berlin.
She won in 4-15.46, again just outside her best.
Both athletes are coached a third former Menai Track and Field member, Andy Walling, who is currently Manchester United’s first-team physio.
