TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of theft in connection with 14 cows being reported stolen on Anglesey.

North Wales Police executed a number of warrants today related to the reported theft of 14 cows from a shed on the outskirts of Llanerch-y-Medd on December 10.

The two men have been taken to Caernarfon Police Station for more enquiries, and several items were taken from two locations.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "We have today executed a number of warrants in Anglesey in connection to a recent theft of cattle.

"A total of 14 cows were reported stolen from a shed on a farm on the outskirts of Llanerch-y-Medd on Saturday, 10 December.

"Two local men were today arrested on suspicion of theft and were taken to Caernarfon Police Station to help with our enquiries.

"Several items were also seized from two separate locations.

"Enquiries into the investigation continue."
