A MAN has denied murdering his father in Gwynedd at the opening of a trial.
Tony Thomas, 45, of Penrhyn Isaf, Minffordd, Penrhyndeudraeth, was accused of killing Dafydd Thomas, 65, at the property on March 25, 2021.
At Mold Crown Court today (January 16), Thomas, wearing a jacket, a white shirt and a blue tie, pleaded not guilty to two charges; the murder and manslaughter of his father.
A jury of 14 (12 jurors and two on standby) were selected and sworn in today for the trial, which is expected to last for three weeks.

Judge Rhys Rowlands will preside over the case, which will resume at 10.30am tomorrow.
Defending Thomas will be Gordon Aspden KC, while prosecuting is Gordon Cole KC.
Vittoria Trigilio is the junior defence, and Elen Owen the junior prosecution.
