ABOUT a third of people in Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey hold a degree or a similar qualification, according to census 2021 data.

The data was published by data the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

The figures revealed the proportion of residents in England and Wales, aged 16 and over, with qualifications at Level 4 or above.

Level 4 or above covers a Higher National Certificate, Higher National Diploma, Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualifications.

The data revealed that on Anglesey, 32.3 per cent of people aged 16 and over had Level 4 or above qualifications. This was similar in Gwynedd (34.5 per cent) and Conwy (32.4 per cent).

In Denbighshire, the figure is slightly lower and is at 30.4 per cent.
