A COUPLE of men have been arrested after police seized a large quantity of cannabis following two separate misuse of drugs warrants in Anglesey.

Police executed the first warrant on December 15, 2022 in the Llanrhyddlad area of Holyhead, where in excess of 45 cannabis plants were recovered.

A man was arrested on suspicion of producing a controlled class B drug.

A further 10 cannabis plants were then seized in the Holyhead area following a separate warrant, executed on December 23.

Another man was then arrested on suspicion of producing a controlled class B drug.

Investigations remain ongoing.

Support Sergeant Iwan Jones said: “We continue to work with the public to disrupt and bring offenders to justice where they seek to produce or sell any controlled substances on the streets of North Wales.

“We would like to thank the public for their support, and I encourage anyone with information about the misuse of drugs in their area to speak with officers or a PCSO in the community.

“We will act on your concerns.”
