THE Arfon MS and MP, Siân Gwenllian and Hywel Williams respectively, have released an informational pamphlet on the cost-of-living crisis.

The online document, collated by the MS and MP, will be updated on a weekly basis to make sure all information is relevant and up-to-date.

Ms Gwenllian said: “We live in unprecedented times of financial hardship for families across Arfon and the country as a whole.

“We understand that there is real concern about the winter ahead, and the effects of the cost-of-living crisis.

“We have been inundated with enquiries from concerned constituents, and we have decided to put together a booklet, available online and, upon request, on paper, raising awareness of the safety nets that are available to people in tough times.

“We hope that the document will act as a directory of support in dire times.”

Mr Williams said: “Families and individuals in Arfon are under enormous pressure due to soaring energy prices, rising food costs and a significant hike in mortgage and rent payments.

“Sometimes, knowing where and who to turn to for help and advice can be difficult.

“We have compiled this useful booklet to help signpost our constituents to where to seek help and guidance.

“From advice on welfare support and food banks to help with utility bills - we have endeavoured to include as much information as possible in once place to make it easier for people.”
