LIFESAVERS went to the aid of a broken down 16-foot fishing boat.
At 2.47 pm on Saturday, November 19, the volunteer crew at Beaumaris Lifeboat received a page from UK Coastguard Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre at Holyhead to assist the vessel.
The boat was anchored just North of Puffin Island and had four people aboard.
A spokesperson for Beaumaris Lifeboat said: "Once on scene and having ensured that all was well with the four occupants of the vessel, an assessment was made by the helmsman as to the best course of action. It was decided for safety reasons that the boat should be towed back to the safety of a suitable location for recovery from the water mooring or berth and a tow was quickly established.
"The Bangor and Penmon Mobile Coastguard rescue teams had also been tasked to the incident, consequently the craft was towed to her trailer by Menai Bridge so that the coastguard teams could assist with her recovery from the water."
The spokesman added: "The occupants of the craft did the correct thing in requesting assistance as soon as they became aware of a problem with the engine."
