TWO people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a bus on the A470 between Boduan and Pwllheli.

North Wales Police and Welsh Ambulance Service attended the incident just after 12pm today, after reports a bus and car had collided on the A470 between the between the junction at Bryncynan Roundabout and the junction with the B4354 just before Boduan.

One rapid response vehicle, two ambulances and a duty operations manager attended on behalf of Welsh Ambulance.

One person was transported to Ysbyty Gwynedd, while a second person was airlifted to Royal Stoke University Hospital for treatment.

The road remains closed as the vehicles are recovered.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “We received a call from colleagues at Welsh Ambulance Services Trust at 12.11pm today, reporting an RTC involving a bus and a car on the A497 Boduan to Pwllheli road.

“Officers attended alongside colleagues from the Air Ambulance.

“The road is currently closed for recovery of the vehicles, and motorists are advised to avoid the area until further notice.”

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today (October 19) shortly after 12pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and bus, in Boduan Pwllheli.

“We sent one rapid response vehicle, two emergency ambulances and a duty operations manager to the scene, where we were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance.

“One person was transported by road to Ysbyty Gwynedd while a second person was flown to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment.”
