FAST food chain Burger King UK has returned to Bangor, and is celebrating with a special deal for customers.

The restaurant opens in the Menai Shopping Centre tomorrow (September 28), and will bring 20 new jobs to the area.

To mark the re-opening, there are 1,000 free “Whopper” burgers up for grabs tomorrow at the restaurant.

The deal is first-come-first-served, and available exclusively to Burger King app users on September 28 at the Menai Centre.

To get in on a bite of the action, guests will need to head to: burgerkinguk.app.link/bangor-free-whopper to retrieve a code, and then show the code to staff at the counter to claim a free Whopper.

Alasdair Murdoch, chief executive of Burger King UK, said: “We know the people of Bangor love the great-tasting food of Burger King, so we’ve listened to their requests and are very excited to bring all their favourites back to their neighbourhood.

“Our home – of the Whopper – is their home.”

Its former restaurant in Bangor’s city centre closed at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was confirmed in May 2020 that it would remain shut after franchise owner Powerbanks entered administration.
