A MAN from Bangor has been ordered to pay in excess of £300 after pleading guilty to two counts of drug possession in the city.

Steven Edwards, 35, of Caernarfon Road, was accused of possessing one snap bag of cocaine and four snap bags of cannabis in Bangor on October 30, 2021.

He pleaded guilty to both offences at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on September 1.

Edwards was fined £200, and will pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85 and a £34 victim surcharge.

This amounted to a total of £319, which will be paid as a full lump sum within 28 days.

The court ordered that the bags of drugs be forfeited and destroyed.

An application was also made by the court for deductions from Edwards’ benefits.
