A MAN from Anglesey is to serve a ban from the roads and complete unpaid work after pleading guilty to drink-driving.

John Leasor, 59, of Holyhead Road, Gaerwen, was accused of driving a blue Ford Fiesta vehicle on the Britannia Bridge with 118 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath on August 8.

The legal limit is 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

He pleaded guilty at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on August 30.

Leasor was disqualified from driving for four years, and ordered to complete six months’ alcohol treatment, a maximum of 20 days’ rehabilitation activity, and 200 hours’ unpaid work.

He will pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85, and a £114 victim surcharge.

This amounted to a total of £199, which will be paid in full by October 25.
