LEWY’S LOAF have closed their store in Benllech and relocated to an industrial park in the town of Llangefni.

The bakery/coffee shop has become a popular place for the community in Benllech, offering a range of different food choices (including vegan options) and beverages.

The business informed customers of the move last week, with Saturday (September 10) their last working day in Benllech ahead of the opening of their sandwich bar in Llangefni tomorrow (September 14).

They said the decision was “not easy”, having enjoyed their customers’ loyalty for a number of years, but confirmed the Inshore Clothing business would operate as usual.

It is not known who will take over the premises.

In a post on social media, the shop said: “We regret to inform you that we will be relocating our staff to Llangefni Industrial Park, opening a new sandwich bar from the September 14.

“The decision to close down the business was not easy, over the years we enjoyed serving all of our customers in Benllech.

“We would like to thank all of our customers for their loyalty and support.

“We hope that someone will be taking over the building in the next few weeks to do what they would like with it.

“Inshore Clothing will still be open as usual.

“Kind regards from all the team.”

Community members and regular customers reacted sadly to the news, with many praising the help they provided during the pandemic, their afternoon tea, and their tasty treats.
