BANGOR has emerged as the seventh-biggest deal-loving city in the UK in a new study.
By analysing Google search data, mobile phone retailer Fonehouse has found which cities are searching for money-saving deals the most.
The study analysed the average monthly Google searches in each city across the UK for 150 specific deals-related terms.
The average search volume for each term was added together for each region and then divided by the population of each city to create a final deal-loving score between zero and one.
These were then ranked highest to lowest to reveal the most and least deal-loving cities.
Bangor was found to be the seventh most deal-loving city in the UK, with residents heavily searching for the latest deals and discounts, as the city achieves a final score of 0.16 – a huge 43 per cent above average
The 10 most deal-loving cities are:

“Although the mobile phone industry hasn't seen such dramatic changes yet, there's a lot of value in comparing deals and special promotions before you purchase.
“By searching for the best mobile phone deals available, you can be sure you’re gotten the best value for your money, whether buying a new mobile contract or switching to a SIM-only contract.”
