A 34-YEAR-old man from Gwynedd has been charged with offences of rape, attempted rape, sexual assault and assault by penetration of a girl younger than 16 years old in Anglesey.
Lee James Howland, from Bethesda, was remanded to appear before Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court this morning (August 23), and will next appear before Crown Court on September 12.
The incident was reported to North Wales Police on August 18, in the Traeth Penial area of Llanfachraeth.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Bell said: “The victim in this incident is our utmost priority and our specialist officers are working closely to support her.
“Whilst this is being treated as an isolated incident, there is an increased police presence in the area and I thank the public for the assistance provided following our earlier appeal.”
