WILL bowling or batting first be the sensible option tomorrow?

That's the quandry on a pivotal day in the Premier Division, with the temperature forecast to top 30C for much of the afternoon.

Brymbo remain in the box seat to finish third in the Premier Division and next up is tomorrow's home meeting with Gresford, who are sixth.

Dan Parry's Brymbo have triumphed in 11 of their 16 matches this summer, the most recent one being last weekend's success versus Mold.

"It was nice to get a score of 230+ without anyone passing 50," said Parry.

"However, when our batsmen get in we need to go on to get that big score.

"James Claybrook has been the example of that!"

Looking ahead to tomorrow, Parry added: "It's derby week for us and thankfully players' availability is still fantastic.

"I could not ask for more.

"Our team is pretty much unchanged from previous weeks."

Gresford also go into the game on the back of a triumph.

Skipper Matt Thompson said: "A fantastic win last week, defending 190 at Pwllheli is a superb effort."

Ryan Williams is unavailable tomorrow, although Thompson, Joe Benson and Danny Williams will all return.

Fourth-placed Northop still have their eyes set on a top-three spot and they host Mochdre, while a long trip to Bangor is in store for Mold.

Llay skipper Tom Crewe will be looking for a change in batting fortunes for tomorrow's home meeting with Pontblyddyn.

Dave Phennah - who hit 52 in last week's loss at Llandudno - and David Wright are both unavailable.

However, John Lloyd and George Mowbray will step in to replace them.

It's a massive day at Elwy Grove Park - and nothing less than a win will do for St Asaph.

The Saints host leaders Menai Bridge, who are 14 points clear at the top.

Elsewhere, Pwllheli welcome Llandudno and Halkyn can take another big stride towards promotion from Division One with victory at home to Marchwiel and Wrexham.

Hawarden Park still harbour promotion hopes and they're at home to Llanrwst, while home advantage also awaits Connah's Quay versus Dolgellau.

Gwersyllt Park go to Conwy, with Buckley hosting Abergele and leaders Denbigh welcome Bangor Seconds.

Luke Gardner's Division One leaders are on their travels to Bridgnorth Seconds, who sit second in the standings with six games left to play.

Six matches also remain for Northop Hall in their battle to beat relegation in the Liverpool Competition.

Hall, nine points clear of the Division One drop zone, go to promotion chasing Rainford tomorrow.
