ALDI is looking to recruit people at its new Bangor store, which opened its doors on Caernarfon Road the first time on Thursday, July 28.

Roles available will include progression through Aldi’s industry leading training and access to career growth opportunities.

Aldi has up to 10 new full-time roles available at the store and is committed to providing jobs for residents in Bangor.

Aldi’s rates of pay are significantly higher than the Government’s National Living Wage, and also above the Living Wage Foundation’s recommended national rates.

Store assistants currently receive a minimum hourly rate of £10.10 nationally.

But as of September, Aldi will increase its hourly rate to £10.50, making it the highest-paying food retailer in the UK.

A spokesperson for Aldi said: “We are delighted that we have already recruited eight staff members for our new Bangor store, as well as retaining all of our existing staff from the Garth Road store.

“However, we still have up to 10 positions available for local people.

“We are committed to providing local workers with long term stable jobs with wages well above the market average and the offer of internal promotion and career progression.

“If you think you’ve got what it takes, please visit our recruitment website and apply for a position today.”
