House prices in Isle of Anglesey have soared by an average of over £12,000 in the month of April, according to figures from the Land Registry.

The price rise in Isle of Anglesey is one of the highest percentage increases in the entirety of the UK over the month.

 

The latest data from the government department reveals that in April 2022 average house prices in Isle of Anglesey reached £237,866.

This was up from £224,982 in March, representing a 5.7 per cent increase. In the last 12 months it has risen by 17.5 per cent.

Breaking it down for specific types of housing, all prices saw an increase.

  • Detached houses - Up to £317,786 from £300,839 in March
  • Semi-detached houses - Up to £203,724 from £192,792 in March
  • Terraced houses - Up to £161,501 from £152,390 in March
  • Flats - Up to £142,509 from £135,225 in March

How do Isle of Anglesey house prices compare to the UK average?

Despite the rise in prices this month, Isle of Anglesey is still below the UK average with typical property value in the nations reaching £281,161 in April.

In cash terms, the average house price in April was £31,575 higher than a year earlier with house price growth accelerating to 12.4 per cent in April 2022. Prices were up by 1.1 per cent month on month.
