NORTH Wales is set to experience highs of 20 degrees this weekend, with another nationwide heatwave set to continue for the next week.

The UK is set to be hotter than Los Angeles on today (July 8) with temperatures predicted to reach 28C in some areas.

This is higher than the American city, which is expected to get highs of 27C today, as well as top European holiday destination such as St Tropez, Marbella and Santorini.

The heatwave is one of five that the Met Office had warned could hit the UK this summer.
